Payment Schedules
When signing contracts with Appalachian Log Homes or Constructions the payment schedule is reviewed and outlined in the HIA Building Agreement. The payment schedules for Kit, Built to Lock-up, and Completion stages are different and require payments at different times during the work progress of your log home. As a general guide the following payments are required:
Kit Progress Payments:
5% of contract price as deposit (10% if kit is under $20,000).
90% (80% if kit is under $20,000) of contract price on delivery of stage 1 materials.
5% (10% if kit is under $20,000) of contract price one week prior to delivery of stage 2 materials (final delivery).
Build to Lock-up Progress Payments :
5% of contract price as deposit.
20% of contract price on completion of footings.
30% of contract price on completion of logs constructed to window height and lower level windows installed.
30% of contract price on completion of internal wall framing and roof framing up.
15% of contract price on practical completion (as defined by contract) of lock-up stage.
Build to Completion Progress Payments :
5% of contract price as deposit.
20% of contract price on completion of footings.
25% of contract price on completion of logs constructed to lower level window height and lower windows installed.
20% of contract price on completion of lock-up stage (does not include decks).
20% of contract price on completion of plasterboard fixed and wet area waterproofing completed.
10% of contract price on practical completion (as defined by contract) of dwelling.
PAYMENT ADVICE
All payments must be made in the form of a Bank Cheque, Direct Transfer or Cash. These payment schedules can vary depending on size and complexity of the contract.
